20 years of partnership with Jet2

Edinburgh Airport is celebrating 20 years of flights with Jet2, marking two decades of partnership.

The airline launched their first route from Edinburgh Airport in 2006, with direct flights to Murcia, and have since built to 48 destinations from the airport.

This summer, Jet2 will add three new routes - Girona, Kalamata and Kefalonia – and will operate its biggest programme to date from the airport.

To celebrate their partnership, passengers were welcomed to the Jet2 check-in area adorned in red, and one lucky passenger was surprised with a free pair of return flights with the airline.

Stephanie Wear, Chief Commercial Officer at Edinburgh Airport, said:

“Jet2 has been a hugely important partner for Edinburgh Airport over the last 20 years.

"Since launching its first flight from Edinburgh in 2006, Jet2 has become a key part of our connectivity, providing millions of passengers with fantastic choice.

"The continued expansion of Jet2's routes, including new ones for summer 2026, demonstrates the strength of demand from Scotland and our shared commitment to offering passengers even more choice when they travel.
