Spotters' competition
We're launching a brand new monthly Spotters' Competition, celebrating the incredible aircraft and airport content captured by our spotter community.
Each month until October, we're inviting you to submit your favourite photo or video taken at the airport during that month. From these entries, we'll select a monthly winner, with all winners receiving an invitation to attend our Spotters' Day later this year.
Whether you're capturing brand new livery, a sunset departure, or a rare visitor, we want to see your work.

Terms and Conditions
Winners of this competition will not be eligible to win any future competitions offering an invitation to a Spotters Day. Entrants may still enter future competitions, but previous winners will not be selected again.
By entering the competition, entrants grant the organiser a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free licence to use, reproduce, and publish any content submitted as part of their entry on the organiser’s website, social media channels, and marketing materials. The organiser may publish the name, username or social media handle of the entrant when sharing their content on social media channels.
The organiser may take photos, videos, and other media content during the Spotters Day for the purposes of documenting the event and promoting the organiser’s activities. This may include use on the organiser’s website, social media channels, and marketing materials. The processing of any personal data captured in such content is carried out on the basis of the organiser’s legitimate interests in promoting its events and public‑facing activities. Where a participant does not wish to be included in such imagery, reasonable steps will be taken to accommodate this on request.
All entrants must be aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
Winners must be available to attend the Spotters Day on the specified date. If a winner is unable to attend, no alternative date, prize, or compensation will be offered.
The organiser may publish the name, username, or social media handle of the winners on its website and social media channels for the purpose of announcing the competition results. This processing is carried out on the basis of the organiser’s legitimate interests in running the competition transparently and promoting engagement with its activities.
Attendance at the Spotters Day may require participants to provide identification and comply with airport security procedures. Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry without compensation. The operator will use all personal data provided by a participant in accordance with its Privacy Notice which is accessible on its website at https://www.edinburghairport.com/help/policies/privacy-notice (Opens in a new tab) - Can we put this statement at the end on its own to highlight the Privacy Notice, as it contains information about how we process data in relation to the other points.
Participants must follow all instructions from airport staff and event organisers. Anyone who behaves inappropriately or breaches safety rules may be removed from the event.
The organiser accepts no responsibility for travel, accommodation, or personal expenses incurred by participants. Attendance is at the participant’s own risk.
The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event for operational or safety reasons. Where possible, reasonable notice will be provided, but no compensation or alternative prize will be offered.
