Celebrating a decade of Finnair

Edinburgh Airport is celebrating 10 continuous years of direct flights between Edinburgh and Helsinki, marking a decade of successful partnership with Finnair.

The service launched as a three‑times‑a‑week seasonal route, took place on 18 April 2016 and has since grown into a year‑round service operating up to seven direct flights a week.

Finnair has played an important role in strengthening connectivity between Scotland and Finland, while also opening up onward connections to destinations across Europe and Asia through its Helsinki hub.

The service has proven popular with both business and leisure travellers, offering a reliable and efficient link between the two capitals and supporting Scotland’s global connectivity.
