Turkish Airlines flies to more countries than any other airline. Established in 1933 with a fleet of just five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines now has a fleet of nearly 500 aircraft and a network spanning more than 350 destinations in over 130 countries across 6 continents.
Flying from Edinburgh since 2012, direct flights operate to Istanbul providing daily onward connectivity to the entire Turkish Airlines’ global flight network.
In 2025 the first European Turkish Airlines lounge abroad was opened in Edinburgh serving Business Class passengers and qualifying special card holders.

Our all inclusive onboard service features complimentary catering for all passengers. On international flights exceeding 2 hours passengers will be served a delicious 3‑course meal and beverages. We also cater to a variety of religious or dietary requirements through Special Meal Requests.
Complimentary Inflight Entertainment
Our flights feature individual inflight entertainment systems with over 1300 hours of movies, TV shows, music and games free of charge. The Companion Entertainment app lets passengers pair their personal devices with the inflight entertainment system. Additionally, passengers gain free access to over 7000 publications worldwide on the PressReader App prior to their flight.

Free Sightseeing Tours of Istanbul
Passengers may take advantage of free sightseeing tours of Istanbul between two international TK flights with connection times between 6‑24 hours.
Turkish Airlines Lounge
The newly opened Turkish Airlines Lounge Edinburgh operated by Plaza Premium will welcome Turkish Airlines’ Business Class passengers as well as Miles&Smiles Elite, Elite Plus and Elite Corporate Club members, Star Alliance carriers and Plaza Premium’s long-standing partners. Located on Level 2 near gate 16, the 673-square-meter lounge accommodates up to 149 guests with facilities designed to maintain a seamless and luxurious experience.
