Luxair launches direct service between Edinburgh and Luxembourg

Edinburgh Airport has welcomed its latest new airline to Scotland as Luxembourg’s national airline touched down in the capital today (3 July 2026).

Luxair has launched a direct service between Edinburgh and Luxembourg, marking its first route to Scot-land.

The twice-weekly service will operate year-round on Mondays and Fridays.

The new route opens up opportunities for both business and leisure travellers, with Luxembourg known for its picturesque Old Town, thriving financial sector, and position at the heart of Europe.

Gordon Robertson, Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer at Edinburgh Airport, said:

“It’s great to see another new airline land at Edinburgh Airport - and another first for Scotland.

“Luxair’s direct route to Luxembourg adds another destination to our growing network and provides an-other great connection from Scotland’s busiest airport for both leisure and business travellers.

“We’re excited to welcome Luxair to Edinburgh and look forward to working together to make the route a success.”
