New York year-round with Delta Air Lines

Delta Air Lines will connect Edinburgh to New York year-round as the airline extends its JFK service to a year-round operation.

The airline already operates a summer-season route between the two cities, and that will now run throughout the year with the addition of a three-weekly service in January and February.

It strengthens transatlantic connectivity between Scotland’s busiest airport and the United States and offers passengers more choice and improved onward connections through Delta’s hub network.

Delta also operates summer seasonal routes from Edinburgh to Atlanta and Boston, reinforcing the capital’s airport as its home in Scotland.

Stephanie Wear, Chief Commercial Officer at Edinburgh Airport said:

“Extending this service to year-round is fantastic news for passengers, ensuring continued connectivity to New York and onward to North America through Delta’s hub network.

“Edinburgh Airport already offers a fantastic range of services to the United States, and we are delighted that Delta shares our confidence in the strength of our market and in our role as a key driver of economic growth.

“We look forward to working with our colleagues at Delta to making this extension a success and to exploring opportunities for further improvements in the future.”
