Norwegian builds the way to the home of LEGO
Norwegian will add a fifth destination to its Edinburgh Airport routes after confirming it will operate a service to Billund next summer.
The service will operate from Edinburgh from April until October 2026, flying three-times-per-week on a Boeing 737.
Norwegian will also extend the season of its popular Bergen route, offering two-flights-per-week May until October, and increase the frequency of its Stockholm service to four-times-per-week.
Stephanie Wear, Chief Commercial Officer at Edinburgh Airport said:
“We’re thrilled to see Norwegian adding Billund to our destinations for next summer.
“Billund is such a fantastic family destination as the home of LEGOLAND and is a gateway for our passengers to explore more of Denmark.
“Increasing capacity for Bergen and Stockholm also shows the clear demand for direct connections between Scotland and Scandinavia.”
Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian, said:
“The direct route will make it easier for Danes to experience history, culture, cuisine, and the stunning landscapes of Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands – an unforgettable travel experience. Likewise, we hope to welcome on board many Scots travelling to Billund, one of the most popular family destinations in Scandinavia, known for its many attractions and famous theme parks. It is home to LEGOLAND, making it a dream holiday destination for families.”
